The Afrobeats nominees are Burna Boy, Wizkid, CKay, Tems, and Fireboy DML.
They are going to battle for the award that has been scheduled to take place on the 21st of November 2022.
Among the nominees, Grammy award winner, Wizkid, alongside his collaborator Tems, bagged a second nomination with in the category of Favorite R&B Song.
Tems extended her record with her collaboration with Future and Drake, ‘Wait For You’, which is featured in the categories of Favorite Hip-Hop Song and Collaboration of the Year.
Tems, with four nominations, is the most nominated Afrobeats act at this year’s American Music Awards (AMA).
