“I would rather die in Ukraine than to come back Home and suffer” – African student says in Video (Watch)

A Ghanaian student trapped in Ukraine as a result of Russia’s invasion has stated that he  would rather stay in the nation than return home.

He claims that he has not made up his mind to travel to Ghana, where his prospects are uncertain.

In a video, the gentleman said the poverty level in Ghana coupled with lack of opportunities were enough fears for him to have decided to stay in Ukraine despite the turmoil instead of returning home.

“I will prefer to stay in Ukraine than to return to Ghana. Do not try to come for me, I prefer to die here than to return to Ghana to suffer,” he said.

Meanwhile, several Ghanaian students strandedin Ukraine have been pleading with the government and its officials to take immediate action to remove them since the country’s tensions have reached dangerous levels.
